Munro’s long association with Trinity College goes back to the early days of the development of the Cambridge Science Park and work continues on a variety of new and existing buildings there. Munro’s expertise in facilities management, energy conservation and air conditioning has proved to be a vital element in the construction and maintenance of high specification laboratories and offices on the Park. Example projects at the park include:
Astex Therapeutics
This extensive new-build development for biotechnology company Astex Therapeutics on the Cambridge Science Park required a high degree of expertise in mechanical, electrical and public health services to create laboratories and offices on two levels.
NAPP Pharmaceuticals’
A recent project at NAPP Pharmaceuticals’ landmark building on the Cambridge Science Park, working with VINCI Construction, required the replacement of the existing mechanical and electrical services to the restaurant and reception areas while maintaining services to other parts of the building. Part of the works involved replacing existing pipework and ductwork in an undercroft between buildings which involve detailed health and safety input due to the confined space of the working area.
